The high school’s Mortimer Wing, built in 1958, received a much-needed facelift over the summer. The new, contemporary look boasts increased security and better climate control, thanks to the replacement of windows and doors.
Heating and cooling systems were updated thanks to new HVAC units, which are not only more efficient, but also bring fresh air into classrooms and offices.
Students have been enjoying the four modernized science labs, which replaced the old ones from the 1970s that did not meet curriculum standards. The updated spaces will help keep students on track for competitive college and career aspirations.
